HELP US FUND A SHELTER - DONATE TODAY |

HELP US ESTABLISH OUR OWN SHELTER
We are currently fundraising to establish our own shelter on the Gold Coast. If anyone has an acreage property with standing buildings they can donate that would be a huge help. Can anyone lease us space and buildings on their acreage property? All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Right now we have to rely on foster carers to help look after the animals we rescue but we could save and rehome a lot more if we had a shelter. Many thanks. |

WildCats - Rescues & Rehomes Lost, Abandoned & Wild Cats and saves the Wildlife they would otherwise eat to survive!
Since 2002 we have been rescuing lost, abandoned and wild cats in south east Queensland. Our intervention and rescue prevents them from becoming feral and saves both them and the wildlife they would otherwise eat to survive. We offer them food, give them names and gain their trust till we can handle them. It can take weeks or even months, but when we bring them into a domestic environment, they're already half tame. We get them desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and find loving homes for them through our adoption program. They make great pets and generally get on well with other cats and dogs.
Our method is a humane alternative to trapping and killing and seeks to remedy the growing numbers of irresponsible pet owners dumping their unwanted pets. We often find mother cats with newborn kittens simply left in a box under a tree or even worse, put into dumpsters! These cats rarely make it into shelters and are routinely ignored by Councils and larger animal welfare organisations. Nobody seems to care what happens to them but many are starving and injured orphaned kittens.
WildCats (a registered charity in Queensland) has been established with a view to networking with animal welfare agencies, veterinary clinics, pet food and products manufacturers, local factory owners and anyone else who may be willing to make a contribution to the success of our work in helping to reunite lost pets with their families and preventing abandoned cats from becoming feral.
